Celebrations Marking 30 Years of Re-Independence – Take Part Online

"Singing Revolution: The Musical" To Begin Los Angeles Run in January

"Singing Revolution: The Musical" will finally premiere at the Broadwater Theater in Los Angeles on January 15 and run until February 20.

 

The "europop" style musical by producer, director, and actor Tony Spinosa features choreography by Märt Agu.

 

The story is inspired by real life events which took place 30 years ago.

 

 

Russia to Expel Another Estonian Diplomat

Russia is set to expel another Estonian diplomat in a tit-for-tat move following the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Estonia on July 15.

 

The latter occurred as a result of Russia sending away Estonian consul Mart Lätte, based in St. Petersburg, on July 7.

 

Lätte was charged with intelligence-gathering. Russia's foreign ministry now summoned Estonia's ambassador in Moscow Margus Laidre, to inform him that on a reciprocal basis, an employee of the Estonian diplomatic mission in Moscow must leave the territory of the Russian Federation within a week."

 

 

Rasmus Mägi 7th in Multi Record-Breaking Olympic 400 m Hurdles Final

Estonian hurdler Rasmus Mägi came seventh in the 400 metres hurdles in Tokyo August 3 in a historic final which saw a new world-record and six domestic records, including for Estonia.

 

Mägi had already broken the Estonian record in Sunday's semi-finals with a time of 48.36, surpassing it again with his 48.11 in the final.

 

Norway's Karsten Warholm took gold, smashing the world record with a time of 45.94.

 

Six hurdlers in the final, including Mägi, set new domestic records.
