Spordiliit Golf Tournament

The Lakewoodi Eesti Mängud golf tournament organized by Eesti Spordiliit USA attracted 38 players (32 men + 6 women) for a spirited competition at Lakewood Country Club.
Mother nature provided perfect golf weather to help celebrate ESTO sport, friendships, and culture at ESL's annual summer sports weekend.
It was especially remarkable to have our “19th Hole” get together at the Lakewood Estonian House.
Many thanks to the Lakewoodi Eesti Ühing who provided access to the outside bar area and had delicious hapukapsasupp and sandwiches waiting in the kitchen as players returned from finishing heir rounds.
Also, a special thanks to Urmas Kärner who provided our beverages for the gathering.
Awards and trophies were presented at the 19th Hole and bragging rights for this year’s tournament go to:
Winner Low Gross – Jaani Tassa 76
Ladies Winner – Virve-Kai Bulla - 92
Senior Mens Winner – Valter Must – 87
Callaway Winner - Reino Truumees -73
Best New Youth golfer - Andrew Hubschmidt - 105
Longest Drive – Craig Kärner
Closest to the Pin – Markus Olvet
The scores for the rest of the field ranged from 88 to 120 – having said that, everyone who participated was a winner!
The annual ESL 2-Man tournament will be held at Rob Ashford's Shepherd Hills Golf Club in October - exact date to be announced soon.
