Eesti-Ameerika helilooja Jonas Tarmi uudisteos orkestrile kõlab Tallinnas juubelilaulupeol ühendorkestrite esituses juba sel pühapäeval, 7. juulil kella 4 ajal pärastlõunal. Helilooja jagas on tundeid Facebookis järgmiselt:

The 150th year anniversary Estonian Laulu- ja tantsupidu (Song and Dance Festival) will take place this week.

The choirs and audience of more than 120,000 people will be singing for two days for at least 11 hours.

It’s an incredibly great, unbelievable (and let’s admit: slightly terrifying) honor to have been commissioned by the 150th Laulupidu to write a new orchestral work for the unknown number of a mass symphony orchestra (somewhere between 800–1000 musicians).

The work titled “Päike laulab” (“The Sun Sings”) will be premiered on Sunday around 4pm Estonian time. Hope to see you there or over the broadcast waves!
