Järvemetsa Scout and Guide Campfire Lit
The Estonian scout and guide camp at Järvemetsa in Lakewood, New Jersey hoisted its flags on August 10th for its annual week-long event. The 52 year-old "Forest University" held 220 km north of Toronto, wrapped up a particularly united, fun edition. The farewell party featured performances by the forest choir, led by Triin Koch, artistic director of this summer's Tartu Song Festival, folk dancers led by this year's Dance Festival alumnus Marleen Kedars from Tallinn, and other forms of creative expression.
