The opening reception for the Baltic Diaspora exhibition in Philadelphia drew 175 attendees on June 23.
“No Home To Go To: The Story of Baltic Displaced Persons 1944-1952” draws on the memories, documents, photographs, and memorabilia of families and individuals who lived through the WWII experience.
It reflects the collaborative effort of numerous institutions, including the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, the Latvian Folk Art Museum, the Chicago Estonian House, and the Lithuanian Emigration Institute.
The exhibition runs through August 2015 at the Free Library of Philadelphia.
The Estonian American National Council was among the financial supporters of the exhibition in Philadelphia.
