Mari-Liis Uibo Is Performing At The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage
Mari-Liis Uibo: “With the help of my wonderful friends around the world, I play music that takes you in dimensions where you silence your thoughts with Arvo Pärt, weep and indulge in reminiscence with Rachmaninoff, duel with Handel Halvorsen and dance wild with Igudesman.”
Mari-Liis Uibo completed the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria at the Professor Gerhard Schulz Violin Studio and earned the distinguished Artist Diploma Summa Cum Laude in the Oberlin Conservatory of Music at the Professor Milan Vitek Violin Studio.
Mari-Liis has successfully participated in several national and international competitions and has given solo-performances with different orchestras such as the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tver Philharmony chamber orchestra Russkaya Kamerata, the Moscow Virtuoses, and Sinfonietta Riga. She has worked together with Maestro Ivry Gitlis, Prof. Alexander Fischer, Prof. Anatoli Reznikowski and Prof. Per Enoksson.
She has performed with well-known conductors Paavo Järvi, Vladimir Spivakov, Darrell Ang, Andrey Kruzhkov, Andres Mustonen, Paul Mägi, Naoki Sugiyama, Timothy Weiss, and Raphael Jiménez. She has gained recognition in Scandinavia, Holland, Italy, France, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Malta, Iran, China, Turkey, Russia, Canada, and the USA. She is the scholarship recipient of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
