European Commission Rules Estonian Air Aid Illegal; Company Halts Flights
The Estonian national airline will fold following a decision by the European Commission that funding given to the company by the Estonian government was not in line with EU regulations. Estonian Air , founded in 1991, does not have the funds to refund the state and declared bankruptcy.

Stanford Librarian Became An e-Resident Of Estonia
Stanford Librarian Michael Keller became an Estonian e-resident on November 3, by receiving a digital identity card at the Estonian Embassy in Washington. In addition to being a symbol of his continuous support towards Estonian and Baltic studies at Stanford, his status as an e-resident also simplifies his communication with the Estonian government and memory institutions, for example by allowing him to digitally sign documents and contracts. Estonian Pavilion Wins Bronze Medal At EXPO Milan 2015
The Gallery of Estonia won third prize at Expo Milano 2015 Awards in the category of Exhibition Design among the pavilions with a surface smaller than 2,000 square meters. The gold medal in the category went to Austria, and second place to Iran.
The international jury of Expo Milan 2015 bestowed on Estonia the bronze medal at an official ceremony on October 30.
The world fair took place in Italy from May 1 to October 31.
"We are extremely happy and proud of having received this acknowledgement, which represents one more proof of the international value of Estonian design and creativity.
The award we have obtained today is not only the result of a successful concept, but is due to its fulfillment and sharing with the most brilliant minds of our country" said Elena Natale, Gallery of Estonia director.

ID Card Bug Could Damage Estonia's IT Image
ERR News - A mistake caused by the Estonian Certification Center, the state-owned company behind the software of ID cards, means that 250,000 ID cards and 5,000 e-residency cards will not be compatible with new Google Chrome web browsers, and while the bug can be fixed, the damage to the nation's image as an IT pathfinder, is done.

New Edition Of 'Estonian Art' Magazine Is Out
The fresh Estonian Art magazine focuses on more than 50 topics.
The opening subject of the magazine is the Venice Art Biennale – an interview by Stacey Koosel and Anna Matveeva’s article cover the exhibit of the Estonian pavilion, the project titled “NSFW. A Chairman’s Tale” by Jaanus Samma and Eugenio Viola.
Curator Alistair Hicks talks about the exhibition "Home and Away. Raymond Pettibon. Marko Mäetamm" at the art museum Kumu, accompanied by thorough commentary by Eha Komissarov.
