ERR News - One proposed route of the Rail Baltic project, which would connect Estonia to other Baltic nations and beyond by high-speed trains, would cut one community in Rapla County in half.

ERR News - Freshly released figures from the 2011 census show that Estonia is now home to 180 ethnicities, 38 more than a decade ago, during the last count.
Statistics Estonia analyst Anu Tõnurist said on the organization's blog today that while in many countries it is considered a form of discrimination to ask a person's ethnicity, Estonian population censuses since the first one back in 1881 have been asking that question, as people are interested in how the nation's ethnic makeup changes.

ERR News - A Russian AN-30B aircraft carried out an observation mission over Estonia on Tuesday, July 16th as part of the Open Skies Treaty.
The aircraft was equipped with a panoramic camera, but all developed film will be done so in the presence of Estonian representatives, the Estonian Defense Forces said in a press release on July 16th.
