Russian Submarines Roam Free in the Baltic Sea, Says Former Officer
Eduard Oganjan, who served on Soviet nuclear submarines as a junior officer, said the vessels he was on roamed free in the Baltic Sea and that Russian subs do now as well, with only Sweden having the capabilities to monitor them.

Society Was Not Ready For Viljandi Tragedy, Say Politicians
On ETV's “Foorum” program, politicians from the four major political parties weighed in on the security situation in Estonian schools, saying that although schools are prepared for events such as the one on October 27, more prevention work must be done. On October 27, a 15-year-old pupil shot dead his teacher in Viljandi, the first such case in Estonia.

Minister Of Interior Hanno Pevkur Visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
Minister of Interior Hanno Pevkur visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on October 16, and handed over a Plaque of Recognition from the Estonian Government for their support on establishing the Amputation Rehabilitation Center at the East-Tallinn Central Hospital in Estonia. Minister of Interior Hanno Pevkur’s meetings in Washington were mostly focused on cooperation in the fields of border security and fighting crime and terrorism. On October 14, Mr Pevkur held a reception at the Embassy with guests from Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of State, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Federal Bureau of Investigation among others. About The Use Of Language By The Estonian American National Council
The first meeting of the XXI Estonian American National Council was historic. Its newly elected members decided to adopt English as the primary language for its discussions. The decision was not easily come by, but once reached permitted the two-day session to flow smoothly.

An American’s Visit To Estonia
A couple of years ago I had the privilege of drawing a family-tree diagram for an Estonian friend. I became interested in her family history and of her coming to the U.S. as a teenager in the 1940s, by herself. She told me about what her family had endured during the Russian occupation of Estonia.
