Estonia still has roughly €200,000 worth of unpaid bills from Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan.

The Ministry of Finance says that the money will not be paid before the law firm provides a clear overview of what it has been doing since last summer.

The government announced, immediately after coming to power, on February 18 that it will terminate Estonia's contract with U.S. law firm Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan.

The bureau was notified soon after.

The Estonian American National Council (EANC), as a member of the Central and East European Coalition (CEEC), is taking the lead in hosting a panel discussion event highlighting issues facing NATO ahead of the 2021 NATO summit.

The event will focus on topics that are relevant to U.S. policy regarding the nations of central and eastern Europe and beyond. 

It will take place via Zoom on the morning of April 22nd at 10:00 EDT.

The event is titled “CEEC Policy Briefing: Runup to the 2021 NATO Summit” and will consist of two panel discussions.

The Estonian American National Council (EANC) is tracking and helping to raise the profile of a number of issues in the 117th Congress of interest to the Estonian American community.

This week, our focus is on the natural gas pipeline currently under construction between Russia and Germany.

Nord Stream 2 (NS2) is a pipeline owned by the Russian state-owned energy company Gazprom to deliver natural gas through the Baltic Sea to Germany.

Tallinn meets New York in this epic pink smoke performance, created especially for Kai Art Center's opening in Tallinn by artist Raphaele Shirley.
