Estonian's Groundbreaking Discovery at Stanford May Change Biology Textbooks

Mardo Kõivomägi, Basic Life Science Research Scientist at Stanford University and his colleagues published a noteworthy article in the October 15, 2021 issue of the magazine Science, which refutes the idea of cell proliferation.

(Washington, DC) — The Central and East European Coalition (CEEC) voices deep concern regarding provocations manufactured by the Lukashenka regime in Belarus – with the active support of the Russian Federation – along Belarus’ border with Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Refugees are being cruelly weaponized on the Eastern borders of the European Union as political pawns and tools of hybrid warfare.

The Lukashenka regime and its Kremlin puppet masters are further exposed as criminal and destabilizing influencers in Eastern Europe with these actions that are beyond the pale of human rights abuse.

The Estonian government has called up 1,684 reservists to a week-long training exercise entitled "Okas 2021". It will include the construction of a "temporary border fence".

On the proposal of the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces Martin Herem, 1636 reservists from mainly engineer units are being called to participate in a readiness exercise during November 17-25.

Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said the country is "currently one step from invoking Article 4 of the NATO Treaty" over the migrant situation on the Belarusian and Polish, Lithuanian and Latvian borders, public broadcaster LSM reported on Tuesday, November 16.

Pabriks told Latvian Radio it has been agreed the countries will support each other if one of them wants to start consultations under Article 4.

Donor Profile: Ingrid & Kaili Roosild

Despite living almost 3,000 kilometres away from KESKUS, for Ingrid Roosild and her daughter Kaili, “eestlus” or being Estonian, is as natural as the deep, green beauty of a primeval Baltic forest.

Ingrid and Kaili, 13, live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, far indeed from an Estonian community, but this does not deter them from embracing and supporting their heritage.

And this is why Ingrid has stepped forward as a Viru Vanem donor to KESKUS International Estonian Centre, being developed now in downtown Toronto as a dynamic global hub that will welcome all Estonians.

Mark it on your calendar! The second virtual forum for global Estonians is being held on November 27, 2021.

The virtual forum can be watched from anywhere in the world.

The program, which includes both discussions and culture, also promises to offer surprise performances.

Anett Kontaveit has become the first Estonian to participate in the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) finals and began with a win.

Kontaveit defeated Czech player Barbora Krejcikova in the opening match of the WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Mexico.

She has won 27 of her last 29 matches and is on an 11-match winning streak.
