Katie Vesterstein from Utah, member of the Estonian A Team, will be representing Estonia at the Winter World University Games on  December 11-21, 2021, in Lucerne Switzerland. She will race the Slalom World Cup on December 29 in Leintz, Austria, and at the 2022 Winter Olympics in February 2022, where she will compete in slalom, giant slalom, and parallel slalom.

Baltic Unity Day Celebrated in Lakewood

On Sunday, November 7, Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians gathered at the Lakewood Estonian House in New Jersey for the annual Baltic Unity Day.

President Biden Met With Prime Minister Kaja Kallas

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas met with U.S. President Joe Biden on November 1 alongside the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow , where they discussed bilateral defense ties, including the continuation of defense cooperation both bilaterally and in NATO.


On October 26, Assistant Secretary Donfried met with Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets and others from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. U.S. State Department Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Dr. Karen Donfried, traveled to Sweden and Norway, Estonia, and Rome, Italy this week.

Assistant Secretary of State Dr. Karen Donfried is in Tallinn this week to highlight the strength of the U.S.-Estonian relationship and reaffirm the U.S. commitment to NATO at the Bucharest Nine summit.
